I grew up in an unstable home, victim of childhood sexual abuse, married and divorced multiple time, I know firsthand the associated consequence of a broken heart, societal stigmas, and feelings of failure and frustration. However, I choose not to allow these unfortunate life experience to define me. With the help of God, and wise counseling, I turned my pain into purpose. Utilizing evidence-based research, I sought to identify the reason behind divorce and broken family units and why it was so prevalent. I observed what could be done to change this shattering trend. This led me to start my journey as a Counselor. I went on to earn my Cognitive Behavioral certification from Learn, Advance Succeed certification program. I completed and achieved Christian Counseling and Marriage Coaching certification from Arise and Live Counseling, Inc. I successfully completed an extensive Maxwell Behaviral Analyst program and obtained my certification. I am currently enrolled at Liberty University to obtain my master's degree in psychology. What I have identified through education and research, people suffer and live beneath their potential because of lack of knowledge and sound counsel. After over 20 years in Health care as a registered nurse; A majority of that time as a skilled acute care neuro-nurse in the hospital; and as Director of Nursing in a Alzheimer's facility, I realize, the human brain, is the machine of the soul.
